In just over a month's time, it's the Audlem Festival, one of the most popular events in the village calendar.
Indeed, it's the 10th anniversary of the village's first Music Festival which began in 2000 as an idea by then resident Paul Moran. Paul had moved to Audlem for some peace and quiet having lived in inner-city Manchester for the previous 30 years.
A team was assembled and Paul, along with Ralph Warburton, Lorraine Parker and local artist Annabel Thornton, set about creating a festival. Since 2000 the whole project has developed into an annual treat for music and art lovers across the country, and festival attendance continues to grow.
The Thursday evening programme kicks off at 9.00pm the Bridge Inn with D&G – Flight505 bass player Al Dean, and keyboard player John Gunstone play some nicely arranged blues classics from the Big Blue House back catalogue.
And at the Lord Combermere, also at 9.00pm, it's the Duffey Boys. Audlem's own will be helping to launch the festival with their own original songs and of course their own take on other people's songs. From Marley to Morrisey to The Jam to The Beatles and much much more. And a special guest!
Over the coming weeks, Audlem Online will be bringing you Festival news in the build up to five great days in Audlem at the end of May.
