Aston and District Fashion Show

"Aston and District WI held a fund raising Fashion Show on Wednesday 12th September. It was very well attended which added a great sense of community spirit to the general atmosphere of a very successful evening.

The Nantwich Branch of Edinburgh Woollen Mill provided over 40 outfits from their new range which were capably modelled by 6 female members and 3 willing gentlemen, or maybe that should be coerced gentlemen!"

So our thanks go to the two ladies from EWM who worked tirelessly to make sure all the models were wearing the correct outfits at the correct time and for having all the information to hand to make the show run smoothly.
With all the modelling completed, tea and cake were served to everyone – a tradition without which no WI event would be complete.
The evening was brought to a close with a raffle with many wonderful prizes, which were donated by the committee and also many local businesses. We have no hesitation in offering a big thank you for their generous donations.
Finally, our thanks go to all who attended the event for where would we have been without you........up a cat-walk without a purpose, I suppose!
A reminder that our next meeting will be held on Friday 5th October, Come along and join us for an enjoyable talk entitled "Eat for your Life". And yes, there will be lots of tea and cake again.
