This month's ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walk is in the Wye Valley in the Peak District. The full walk is just over 11 miles and should be very easy as it's following the river downstream. It starts just east of Buxton and ends at Bakewell, but if some want a shorter walk then they could finish at Ashford in the Water (a lovely village with a pub).

If the weather is good the walk should be excellent, with good wildlife, dramatic (so the pamphlet says) limestone scenery and industrial heritage. Unusually for ARS, we are told there's not much chance of accidentally extending the walk.

If you are interested in this walk, meet at 8.30am on Audlem car park. A couple of cars will go ahead to Bakewell for the return journey.
