ARS, the Audlem Ramblers Society, have planned their year of walks.

If you fancy joining ARS and getting involved in visits to Shropshire, North Wales, Peak District and locally, contact ARS secretary Andy Dividson on andydavidsonatb@hotmail.com">andydavidsonatb@hotmail.com

The Programme is:

January 9th – A fairly flat and circular 9 mile walk around Ellesmere, taking in Colemere and Welshampton. Organised by Geoff Baddley.

February 13th – A circular walk from Glyn Ceiriog of approximately 10 miles. Organised by Chris Roche and Howard Jones.

March 13th – A walk on Brown Clee, the highest hill in Shropshire, organised by Peter and Brenda Kay

April 10th – A linear walk from Tegg's Nose to Hen Cloud of approximately 12 miles and over 2500 feet of climbing, organised by Tony Crowther

May 8th – A walk over and around the Stiperstones in Shropshire. Full options to be decided. Organised by Andy Davidson

June 12th – A linear walk of approximately 12 miles along the Wye Valley between Bakewell and Buxton, organised by Andy Davidson.

July 10th – A climb up Cnicht "The Matterhorn Of Wales" and one of ARS's favourite mountains, organised by Christine Johnson.

August 14th – The Nantlle Ridge. A serious ridge walk involving some scrambling organised by Peter Kay.

September 11th – A circular walk from Grindleford in the Peak District along a classic gritstone edge, organised by Andy Davidson.

October 9th – A walk to be organised by Will Williams and some of our other younger members, details to be announced in due course.

November 13th – A walk on the Breidden Hills in Shropshire including Rodney's Pillar, organised by Tony Crowther.

December 11th – A local walk around Audlem followed by the ARS Christmas Dinner in the evening.
