This was taken last week on the long ARS walk on White Edge in the Peak District.
The monument being decorated by ARS members is to Wellington who apparently had connections with the Chatsworth Estate – Chatsworth House can be seen in the distance from this point, just part of the stupendous views that the ARS walkers enjoyed along a splendid ridge-walk on a lovely sunny day.
We are indebted to Christine Knibbs, the only lady on the walk, for the photo.
