The ARS walk on the Breidden Hills last Saturday was blessed with lovely sunshine, and the walk itself took in most of the summits of the Hills. The only downside was the ups, which totalled about 2500 feet according to Chris's trusty GPS gadget.

We started at the pub just below Rodney's Pillar where we grabbed a bacon butty before setting off round the circuit. Morning coffee was enjoyed in the shelter of an Iron Age fort and then lunch on the high point of Moel y Golfa with phenomenal views all around.

The final climb was up to Rodney's Pillar, where the photograph shows the group resting for a few minutes round the monument before descending back to the pub for a well-earned pint.

Thanks Tony – a lovely walk, well planned and well led.
