The Around Audlem newsletter will now have arrived on the doormats of most addresses in Audlem. Within each newsletter is included a form to sponsor a plaque in the new Public Hall Annexe. The building of the Annexe is now well under way and currently on schedule to open in late September this year.

To remind those who might have been asleep for the last few months, the new Annexe will include

  • Showers and changing rooms
  • Sitting Room suitable for the ADCA Tuesday Lunch club and other meetings
  • Youth Club rooms and equipment.
  • Small hall for meetings, functions etc.
  • Office and treatment room.
  • Small kitchen
  • Community Gym
  • Storage for 5A's "stuff" and changing facilities for their performances.

For those who haven't yet done so, please consider helping to finance the building and equipping of the Annexe by Sponsoring a Plaque – the plaques (shown actual size, 250mm by 50mm, on the sponsorship form) will be permanently displayed in the Annexe building. This will provide a fitting reminder into the future of the people who have contributed so much to this project.

The donation requested for each plaque is £25, although you are very welcome to donate more if you wish. If you want several plaques (for individual family members perhaps), please enter the family group name on each form (one form per plaque), and we can ensure that family members are kept together when the plaques are mounted on the Sponsor's Wall.

The plaques will not actually be produced until just before the Annexe building is finished – at this point we will check round with the individual sponsors to make sure that their requested inscription is correct. We will then have the plaques made, ready to be displayed on the Sponsor's Wall in the Annexe in time for the Grand Opening.

A very important extra bit of funding will be obtained if you can also complete the Gift Aid section of the form – this allows us to claim back an extra £5 or so from HMRC at no cost to you.

Cheques should be made out to Audlem Public Hall and cheques and forms can be given to Ralph Warburton, any member of the Aphax team, or posted to John Tilling (APHAx Treasurer) at 27 Cheshire Street, Audlem, CW3 0AL.

If you have lost the form, or the dog has eaten it, or you need more copies, it can be downloaded by clicking on the link below the photo, or you can get more copies from the APHAx team.

And a thank you

Lastly, the APHAx Committee would also like to thank the Scouts for their efforts in distributing the forms.
