Another parking appeal success

Regular readers will know that we have been featuring the travails of a number od local users of the Gresty Road car park next to Crewe Alex's ground.

AudlemLine has received the following note from a reader who followed our advice to appeal if you have paid the correct fee yet still receive a demand for £100 (reduced if you pay up quickly):

"You may be interested to hear that ParkingEye, Crewe, have refunded the fine I felt obliged to pay.

"Their cheque arrived yesterday after I had appealed about 3 weeks previously and despite my being unable to produce the machine ticket.

"Their briefest of letters contained no explanation or apology. I would still hesitate to use this or any other of their parks again."
