Amazing Skydive for Alder Hey

AudlemOnline has heard from Audlem resident Jill Wiggins about an amazing piece of fund-raising by her daughter Leisha.

Leisha had open heart surgery as a baby at Alder Hey and the family raised money then for the well-known children's hospital. Leisha, now aged 22, has wanted to raise money herself for some time so chose the 10,000 ft tandem skydive which took place a few months ago at Hinstock. Quite a challenge!

Leisha says she enjoyed it- but was sick on the way down! But it was all in a good cause and very successful. She has now collected the sponsorship money which amounts to a fantastic £893.75. She is very grateful for all the support she has received.
