Today, we continue the day by day preview of events at next weekend's Audlem Festival – Thursday 27th May through to Bank Holiday Monday 31st May.
Below, this is all in just one of the days at the Festival – Saturday 29th May:
AAFY Showcase 1pm -4pm
The Lord Combermere
An impressive and diverse musical showcase sponsored by Audlem Action For Youth. Acts include Malbank School Jazz Band, Swim into Scarlet and The Varlets.
'Music as a way of Life' Photography exhibition with Sophie Mazingarbe
The Fat Pigeon
Sophie Mazingarbe is a young international photographer. Since moving to the UK from Paris, she has mainly worked with musicians and media figures, garnering praise in the process for her adventurous and insightful pictures. Music as a Way of Life is the title of this year's exhibition of her work as she returns to the Audlem Festival. It will comprise a wide selection of her pictures gleaned from 5 years spent with both the Famous and the Unknown as they lived and breathed Music.

10:30am – Backrow & Saxophonie
Scout Hall
Backrow, 3 close harmony singers, a pianist and a clarinet / saxophone / percussion / general factotum! Saxophonie are an all female saxophone quartet playing a range of styles from light classical, through 1930's to contemporary – something to suit all moods!
1:00pm – Malbank School Jazz Band
Lord Combermere Showcase
Superb youth Jazz Band from Nantwich Malbank School great opportunity to see these talented youngsters playing at a local venue.
2:00pm – Swim into Scarlet

2:30pm – Corelli
The Bridge Inn
Corelli are a five piece Indie/Post Punk band from the Midlands, an individual and exciting sound, energetic live performances and catchy songs.
3:00pm – Frances Hughes
Methodist Church
Local vocalist Frances Hughes (soprano) sings a selection of classical songs and operatic arias. Accompaniment will be provided by Treona Holden.
3:00pm – Itchy Feet
St James Church
Itchy Feet ,a local group of musicians playing Irish Traditional music. Favourites at Ireland's premier Traditional harp festivals in Granard, County Longford where they were christened ' Cosa Dohsa' (dancing feet) – catch them live here in Audlem.
3:00pm – Tom Seals
Lord Combermere Showcase
Tom Seals, recently branded "Crewe's answer to Jamie Cullum", started playing the piano at 5 years old and the rest was history. Tom took an immediate shine to Jazz and Blues styles of playing; his repertoire includes the likes of Frank Sinatra, Jools Holland and Michael Buble. He brings his jazz hands to Audlem for the first time this year.
3:30pm – Emma Purshouse presents The Professor Vyle Show
Scout & Guide Hall
The Professor Vyle Show – Punch and Judy meets Jeremy Kyle! Puppets, poetry and quick changes. Suitable for 14+Emma will also be performing around the village throughout the weekend.
4:00pm – Heidi & the Brownies
The Bridge Inn
Heidi Browne has written a host of songs, varying in style from jazz to folk to quirky pop. Recently involving her brother on drums and her father, musician Colin Browne on keyboards, her songs have been given a new energy.
4:00pm – The Varlets

Brit pops back, and with style! Magnificient display of the craft & creativity of their members.
5:30pm – Alive & Kickin
Lord Combermere
Alive & Kickin are a fantastic soul band from the Northeast of England. Energetic funk and soul performed with a full brass section. Not to be missed.
5:30pm – Dan Machin & Dave Day
The Bridge Inn
Your chance to witness two of the most talented guitarists in the area. Dan and Dave are both accomplished musicians, and will entertain you with a set of cleverly arranged classics and amazing improvisations.
7:00pm – The Wash
The Bridge Inn
An emerging local 3 piece rock band with a genuinely individual sound. Story like lyrics, evocative feedback, driving beats and foot tapping tunes. But you won't find many covers.
7:30pm – Val & Michael Warner
Lord Combermere
Popular classics performed by a talented family duo. Clever vocal harmonies bring the tunes alive accompanied on acoustic guitars.
9:00pm – Poyzer, Fluff, Farrell and Dee,

"This man is one of the greats. His wonderfully lyrical version of "Love Will Tell Us Apart" with the great John Ellis on Piano redefined that song and will stay in my memory as one of the great live moments I will ever see" – Nick Holmes, Mcr Busker and that is just one part of this line up!
9:30pm – Heavy Weather
Shroppie Fly
The highly acclaimed band promise a mixture of hard-hitting blues and rock twinned with a selection of covers from the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.
9:30pm – Dayve Dean & Friends
The Bridge Inn
Fresh from a run of dates including three days at the "Brighton Fringe Festival", acclaimed singer songwriter Dayve Dean brings a selection of songs including tracks from his "Octagon" album and familiar covers to Audlem supported by guest musicians. . For more information visit: www.dayve.co.uk
