This great Audlem facility is held in the car park of The Lord Combermere Saturday morning between 10.00 and 12.00 most weeks – starting this Saturday the 20th April – 'til late autumn.
Adapt Food Group stall provides fresh locally grown produce, plants and flowers. So come early and find out what is on the stall this week.
The first market of this season is going to be a big one, lots of plants to plant on in your own gardens so you can have fresh veg and fruit to eat. Lots of Strawberry plant, Christine an early plant that is desease resistant, gooseberry bushes and red and black current, plus rubharb. Loads of vegetable plants, lettuce, cauliflower, Cabbage, Brussel sprouts. Purple sprouting broccoli, Broad beans and calabrese. Tomato plants, need to be kept inside for a bit, golden crown, ailsa Craig and alicante.
The green eggs are back, we will also have local lovely brown eggs too. Freshly picked leeks and purple sprouting broccoli. Beautiful Tulips and cultivated blue bells to brighten up your home. Not sure if the honey man will have any honey but I think he may have some bees wax candles which smell lovely.
If you have a Bay Tree that you are about to trim and wonder what to do with the trimmings we would be interested to recycle the leaves. Collection can be arranged. Also if you have any small pots, like moisturiser comes in, old candles and jars we would be interested in them as well.
Just talk to anyone on the stall.
This year we will be doing this article for AudlemOnline a bit differently, next week will be my last time writing this piece and each month a different member of ADAPT Food Group will take over and make sure that everyone knows what will be for sale each week on the stall.
I have enjoyed writing this every week and I hope made it interesting and informative and I am sure it will carry on that way.
So keep reading and keep supporting the Adapt Saturday Market!
Thank you!
Valerie Mackin
