Adapt Plants

It's May with this unpredictable weather, watch out there may be a frost about. Keep an eye on the forecast to protect those delicate seedlings or susceptible plants.

The bees and other pollinators are mad busy doing their job and raising families as well. The Honey Bee swarm season is well underway and a good many colonies want to split up and move house, if it rains or is very cold after a swarm has emerged they have a poor chance of survival, so in many areas there are registered swarm collectors who may be able to remove them safely. Its timely to find a swarm collector early as it is much most difficult and costly to remove a new colony that has settled in a roof space of the wrong side of an air brick in a house wall. Registered swarm collectors are found on the BBKA website and just key in your post code to find the closest ones. Find Local Swarm Collectors.

Our friendly ADAPT local produce stall will be back as usual on the Lord Combermere Carpark this Saturday 10am till the clock strikes noon.

A big thank you to all those Audlem donors of plant pots recently, we are very grateful.

This week we will have----

In no particular order , free range eggs, Tomato plants, Local Frozen pork Sausages, a myriad of perennial flower seedings ,Rhubarb,  lemon marmalade, a selection of jams and crab apple jelly.

As always there are surprises, Onion Plants and a mouthwatering list of cakes:-
