ADAPT (Audlem & District Acting Positively for Transition) are organising the following events this year and all are welcome.....

Seed Swap

On Feb 10th at 2.30pm onwards we are having a seed swap where you bring old packets of seeds surplus to requirements and try out those that someone else has brought. It is helpful to bring a supply of small envelopes so that you can write what you have acquired on the outside and any instructions.

Many of us save our own seed and it is understood that germination/the end result may be a bit unpredictable! A cup of tea will be offered and we would love to see some new faces. The venue is the home of Chris Lewis at Fields Farm in Green Lane (where the lamb is advertised). If anyone can't make it at that time it may be possible to see what is left one evening, by arrangement.

Seedling Sale

We hope to sell seedlings in our usual spot at the entrance to the Lord Combermere Carpark on Saturday April 23rd 10am -12noon.

Saturday Markets

Then, growth conditions permitting, we start the regular produce markets on Saturday May 14th carrying on until about the end of September. On two occasions when there are events in the Car Park (Music Festival/Beer Festival) we have obtained permission to sell under the Buttermarket.

Information stalls

We hope to have a stall explaining our aims at various fetes during the summer and to produce a free map of recommended cycle routes.

Woore Horticultural Show

Two members exhibited successfully last year at the Woore Horticultural show in September and we hope more Audlem residents might support this event in future.

Other events being planned

In October we shall have a presentation on 'Energy efficiency in the home' plus our usual apple pressing events. In November there will be a presentation on 'The efficiency and Carbon impact of cars' followed by our usual 'Home made Christmas'. A new venture at the planning stage is a Saturday workshop to have a taste of various crafts e.g. spinning or basket weaving.
