Hi to all,
My name is simon.
I'm a carpenter who is relocating to Audlem and am in need of a small workshop, preferably in the audlem and Nantwich area.
As a guide to size, my previous one is approximately 64m2 (688ft2) and fulfils most requirements.
I will need electricity but only single phase. 40amps will suffice.
It's just for private use and not on a commercial scale of production.
If anyone can help please contact via email
Regards
Simon
Hi Chloe! Thank-you for your recommendation. I've just called Ian Green and sadly he is quite ill and not working now.
Nigel; I second your recomendation regarding Dylan. He's very friendly, turns up when he say's he will and does a first class job. However; I've only used him for Rocket transportation but, he was great at it AND.......despite having Professor Atom in his cab with him, he didn't swear or throw him out. A mark of a true, patient, gentleman!
But; I know loads of people who have had 'normal' jobs carried out by Dylan and they are first class.
Hello Bill I was fortunate to find Ian Green who does an excellent job. He collects the mower (using an electrically powered vehicle) and returns it promptly and working well. 07713909811. He trades under the name of Mow Green Ltd
Hi,
Dylan Jones is first class and a village craftsman through and through.
His work can be seen all around Audlem including at our house.
His number is: 07967 884585
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated please. (Atco 18" self-propelled mower). S.Buerton.
Hi
Can anyone recommend a Bricklayer to repair a garden wall please
I voted against the Cheshire East Budget 2023/24 last week due to:
Lack of detail
Yet more cuts to the beleaguered highways service
Introduction of a Garden/Food Waste Bin charge
A 'Town by Town' review of car parking charges, but no detail
Cuts to Library opening hours and worryingly no information about the mobile service.
Cuts to Bus Services.
Its only 4 days since the Budget Council Meeting, but yesterday Arriva announced its consulting on closing two depots which, if confirmed, would mean no Arriva services in Winsford, Northwich, Crewe and Macclesfield areas.
I am urgently asking what impact this could ultimately have on rural areas, particularly where service buses currently offer home to school transport.

Today I am at Overwater Marina and Park View Combermere as we promote locally the 'Government Funded Go-Too Bus'. Funding for this rural bus pilot ends in 2024; it looks more important than ever that we need to retain it!
Thanks to AOL I have recovered my friend's gloves but they weren't the ones at Judy's. So someone is still missing theirs!
A pair of gloves were found last night, around 8.30 pm on Tollgate Drive. They have been handed in to "Judy's" this morning.
What a superb photo you have posted of these three heavenly bodies, but no name of the marvellous person who captured it .
Be good to know I feel as they deserve much praise
Wanted.
Has anyone got a Generator ADAS could please borrow for the Audlem village FETE on August 27th, to power PA System. Please contact myself for further enquiries
Thankyou 07800853539
Many thanks. Relatives visiting today are anxious not to use the M6 and are grateful for your confirmation. Once again proving the value of AOL's Chatbox and the helpfulness of fellow Audlemites.
I have used Middlewich Road for the past 2 days and can confirm that it is open from Alvaston roundabout through to Leighton Hospital.
Please note that it is now a 30mph speed limit from Grensons roundabout through to the traffic lights at Bradfield Green.
Hi,
It was open on Monday evening and presumably still is.
It was not open last Saturday however, as stated !
I would like to publicly state how much I appreciate Audlem's very many volunteers who raise flags, raise Christmas trees, plant, prune, manage, communicate, care for the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of others, deliver entertaining and enjoyable events and very many more things on top. There are a few individuals I could single out for particular praise and gratitude, but in general, I greatly appreciate living in a place with so much positive community spirit. Just thought I'd share a positive message of thanks...
Yes, Middlewich Rd is now fully open.
Yes it is open, I've used it the past 2 days.
The tree pruner contact was Nathan Roberts 07854 272621.
However, as he is very busy, he has not got round to me yet.
Can anyone confirm from recent experience that the Middlewich Rd is now at last actually open from the Alveston roundabout to Leighton Hospital,
Thanks in anticipation
Hi,
Having just got off a call with my grandparents I felt compelled to contribute to this site despite not living in Audlem.
They were complaining about the constant noise of motorcycles until late, 11:30pm, either Monday or Tuesday this week.
They implied that the person concerned came from 'the Barns'.
Could I kindly ask that anyone from 'the Barns', who has a motorcycle, be a little more considerate.
Thank You
Anthony Watkins
A friend of mine lost a pair of black leather gloves somewhere in the village, or by the canal, on Monday. If anyone finds, I'd be really grateful if they could be dropped in at Williams' newsagent.
ABC AUDLEM on the grounds of Audlem St James (CofE) Primary School will be having a recruitment evening on Monday the 27th of February from 5:30pm. Please come and meet the team.
Last week's 'Walk Fit' session was a huge success and we have been given the green light to continue on a weekly basis in Audlem Public Hall! We shall begin session as of Thursday 2nd March and it's FIRST SESSION FREE for all newcomers! Hopefully there will be a full article in the 'news' section in the next week or so but in the meantime, please feel free to contact me via email for any further information: alex.mevo@outlook.com
Perhaps Chris Greaves could list his contributions to the village over the years. Yep – thought not
