Haycocks from Whitchurch have always delivered excellent service regarding TV aerials, satellite etc
Hi I would recommend Tim from Astro Aerials in Crewe – he will be there when he says he will, clean & tidy, never over sells the job, and not too heavy with the pen. 01270 850012
Just to reiterate Nigels recommendation I have always used Anthony Jess from Shavington, he is a fantastic roofer and his leadwork is sublime. Always punctual, tidy worker and very reasonably priced.
Hi Just wondering if anyone could recommend a TV aerial repairer, the main cable that connect to the outside aerial has split and needs replacing. Many Thanks

Hi,
I can recommend your namesake – Antony Jess. Excellent work and very reliable and reasonable.
He is very experienced in leadwork and did some for us earlier this year.
His number is 07913 533859
Good luck.
Can anyone recommend a roofer who can replace lead guttering among other jobs.
A huge thank you to everyone at the medical center and Boots, for turning my prescription around so quickly. This village has a fantastic spirit.
Cheers chaps and thank you for what you do. We are so lucky to have a great, (sometimes!) funny, informative village website.
Well folks, have to say I preferred the photos with the masks on. Much gentler on the eyes! Many thanks for all your efforts throughout the year in producing what must be one of the best, if not THE best village web sites around. Stay Safe.
Ellisons Plumbing & Heating 07918912021 – We have used Peter Ellison for years first class service.
Thank you so much for relaying the ten points. Made me laugh out loud, causing him indoors some consternation !
Thank you Gerraint. Our pleasure!
We do this most years and even an extra night round the village this year. The players are mostly local and actually pkay for the Cheshire Police band (so quite a few in Audlem will have heard us before) After such an awful year it was the very least we could do and in any case we are old friends so love each others company! Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Some sad person has vandalised some of our Xmas lights. There are some pathetic persons about . We have our suspects.
Very many thanks to the band for their contribution to the festive mood in playing for us in Audlem centre this morning. I know it's a good thing to support charities generously in these difficult times, but there was something heartwarming too in their statement that, on this occasion, they were not collecting money but just doing it "because it was a nice thing to do".
Ellisons Plumbing & Heating 07918912021 – Peter Ellison has been very good. Reliable, keeps to his appointments and no heating or plumbing job too small.
Alison – it's so wonderful to hear from you. Alison and I have been thinking of you and Christopher ever since we left you the other day. I'm so glad that all is well. What a relief. Have a marvellous Christmas. xx
Thank you to the Brass Band for their contribution to the start of our Christmas!
I would just like to say a very big thank you to Sonia & Alison for helping me out on Bickerton Hill on Tuesday afternoon. My husband had fainted and needed a check up at the hospital, they stayed with us and directed the ambulance service to our location on top of the hill.
He is fully recovered now with no lasting effects.
Please pass on my thanks to the children and the dogs, they were extremely patient. I only know that they are from the Audlem area so if anyone does know them please can you let them know
Once again many thanks.
Alison
Bruce Heath at B H Plumbing and Heating, Marlet Drayton. Highly recommended!
May I congratulate you on your new website. The presentation of it is much better and it is so much easier to navigate through it.
Love it!
Can anyone recommend a good service engineer/company to service an oil boiler?
Thanks for the interesting article. I have just finished reading 'Hurricane Combat' by Wing Commander K.W. Mackenzie DFC,AFC,AE. A Battle of Britain veteran, he did a lot of his flying in the South West, and his squadron (501) was based at Filton from December 1940 to April 1941. He mentions the balloons around the factories, and the 'funnels' kept clear of them, so that aircraft could take off and land.
Occasionally, they even provided some 'local' firing practice for our own aircraft, 306 Squadron at Tern Hill for example, despatching two Hurricanes to shoot down some which had come adrift from the Crewe barrage on 21st January 1941.
