Well said Elisabeth We are so lucky to be looked after by such a good team at the Medical Centre
Hi Terry, no I think you must be mistaken, as I can assure you a Mr Burrows from Hopley (a chap with mad hare) claimed said bunny, he was very grateful and offered me 2 bucks for my trouble but I said no, put your doe back in your pocket.
Are you sure that bunny has really been reunited with his family Colin? I only ask because I was sure I saw a lighted barbecue in your garden this evening followed a little later by a loud burp. If I now see lucky rabbit's feet on sale in Williams I think we'll all know where they came from!
Unfortunately in editing my admittedly long post the webteam have taken out the urls I put in as evidence of statements made. Since some of the criticism of Mr McGregor's posts was that he didn't supply urls you have undermined my position.
Furthermore, the final section has been truncated in a way that means it no longer makes sense.
Please would you either delete this somewhat mangled version of my original post and print my original one or just delete this one. I don't want the version you've printed to remain on the site under my name.
A huge shout out to Doctor Holden and the team for their stirling effort once again this evening for another flu vaccine roll out for absolutely dozens of locals..probably the last thing they wanted to do after a long day in the surgery was to throw open the doors on a freezing cold day!
I am pleased to say the lost rabbit was claimed by its owners today and they all lived happily ever after
Can anyone please recommend a joiner to carry out repairs to our summerhouse doors, windows etc.
to restore it to its former glory when designed and built in 1985?
Thank you in anticipation.
Hi Ken I have had a look in the daylight and he is still dark grey, did I mention when I caught it it was hopping mad
Are you sure it's ok Colin as it was dark when you caught it and it is now light grey ??
A large grey pet rabbit was found on Paddock lane last night, it seems Ok but it was very dark when I caught it
Recently I sang the praises of the new bus service but this time I have to report a negative.
Three of us used the service into Nantwich and booked a return at the same time. The return pick up point was outside the Talbot pub where we have been collected before. Just before the allotted time I received the usual text to let me know the arrival time. We had strategically had a final drink in the Crown so we could nip around the corner .
The text read "Your journey is on it's way and is 3 minutes away- Pickup: Railway Station" What!
With a pair of running shoes, a following wind and perhaps 20 years ago I could perhaps have made it. With a belly full of food and one or two pints the original collection point was doable, just! No choice but to cancel. I couldn't rebook due to high demand, according to the app, so I had no choice other than to book a £20 taxi ride.
Disappointed and my faith in the system has taken a knock.
I have found Duncan Meredith to be a reliable repairer of domestic appliances. 07967189353
Chris Fennell on 01630 655965
Excellent and very reasonable John
Can anyone recommend an engineer to repair my Bosch dishwasher please.
How I wish all old style stiles were able to be replaced by the new 'easy climb' version as it wouldn't half save me a lot of 'huffing and puffing' when out walking.
However I do wish we could retain the old style traditional names and not the 'new' versions. It is Holmes Bank not Rabbit Hill – please consider us ' local oldies' because when we say we are lost on Holmes Bank you won't be able to find us.
Shame that a child's chance to talk to Santa depends on the technical competence of their carer. Why does it have to involve google accounts and passwords? What is wrong with a sheet of paper at Williams'? Had to be rescued by dau in law and lost the slot I had.
Correction to earlier post, sorry I meant Pippa not Sue
Hi Sue
Try Alan Sheen in Winsford or Phil Morton in Macclesfield, both come highly recommended.
Tony the figures I quoted were from Bernstein senior analyst Neil Beveridge. It takes all of 2 minutes to find many reliable sources saying the same.
Apologies – I appear to have completely mangled my previous message.
I meant to say, this link I found useful:
an "independent nonprofit organization founded to provide first-rate, unbiased research"
https://theicct.org/publications/global-LCA-passenger-cars-jul2021
which "considers present and projected future GHG emissions attributable to every stage in the life cycles of both vehicles and fuels" and concludes that "battery electric vehicles have by far the lowest life-cycle GHG emissions".
I also meant to say that clearly we are all going to have to cut back on driving generally, and switch to e.g. electric bikes for shorter journeys – and the end of my message was supposed to say that I have one of these and it is great!
Sorry for the garbled nature of my previous message. Hopefully this one is better!
https://www.google.com.my/search?q=lifetime+emissions+by+car+type&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-my&client=safari
Seems to be that, depending on where the cars and batteries are manufactured, electric cars will have lifetime emissions of around 30% that of a comparable ICE vehicle.
Road Safety could be greatly improved if more people used their indicators as required, reference source Highway Code rules 103 & 186. Parking on the Pavement is also a pet hate of mine, reference source Highway Code 244.
The last sentence of Kate Tilling's post does not make sense and much of Adrian Leighton's last piece did not seem right. Is the computer messing about with the text?
When making statements with data, please referance the source.
Otherwise data has as much value value as a comment on social media sites or a Trump source.
Thank you
