Just in case your week had been a pale, sad thing because you were tortured by thoughts of what unearthly practices may require a tea light, chocolate, a foil tray and rice crispies, weep no more.
Presented here is the evidence of some highly dodgy chocolate crispy cake making last week in the Public Hall. I say 'highly dodgy' not to cast aspersions on the willing chefs. No, that is merely a description of the sorry, amorphous mass that contrived to congeal itself in the base of a dozen foil trays as a result of 5 minutes torching over a decidedly not 'turn on and offable' tea light. That said, they were quite delish as I discovered after my Blue Peter inspired 'here's one I made earlier' attempt.
These kitchen sessions go down really well at Youth Club so we plan to schedule a lot more of them in the future. Any inspired ideas for future concoctions are always welcome. You can email them to me at coalyardkate@me.com.
