The youngest webteam member?

AudlemOnline readers will know that for the last few months we have published a daily quotation from a well-known person whose birthday falls on that day.

To do this, the AoL team mostly use a mixture of Wikipedia and a site called "Onthisday" for the research, and then google to find appropriate pictures. This can be a bit of a chore at times, especially on the days when the only people with relevant birthdays appear to be obscure American Football and Basketball players.

So what a delight over the weekend when the editor's grand-daughter, Jenny, paid a visit to Audlem and showed an interest in doing the research and then some of the actual entries on the website. Like any technosavvy 14-year-old, Jenny soon grasped the principles of the website control panel and proceeded to produce ten birthday articles in a far shorter time than I ( or, I suspect, other members of the webteam) could have done it.

As it happens she was fortunate that the ten days she covered included Paul McCartney, Donald Trump and Prince William, so there are some interesting quotations to look forward to in the near future.

And thank you, Jenny, as the youngest ever, if temporary, member of the AudlemOnline webteam.
