ASET, with considerable help from the 5A's and others, put on a memorable display to mark the 90th Anniversary of the British Legion coinciding with the 11/11/11 anniversary.
The two-minute silence at 11am was observed by young and old alike, with more than one pair of eyes glistening with tears as the strains of ‘The Last Post’ died down.
The exhibition was visited by several sets of school children, all of whom seemed interested and impressed.
The film, a clever blend of authentic material and scenes acted by the 5As, had many of the adults in the ‘cinema’ in tears and nobody could fail to be moved by the end sequence, a beautifully enunciated roll call of the village casualties in both World Wars.
