A woman was cut free from her car after a two vehicle collision near Whitchurch yesterday.

Fire crews from Whitchurch and a Rescue Tender from Prees were called to the scene of a collision between a 4x4 and a car in Black Park Road, Whitchurch, at around 1pm.

One woman was trapped in her car and treated at the scene for minor injuries but she did not require hospital treatment. The other driver was uninjured.

Crews freed the woman and left the scene at around 1.15pm. An ambulance, paramedic and community first responder also attended.

Claire Brown, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to the incident shortly after 1pm. One woman was treated at the scene her injuries were not serious and she decided against going to hospital."
