Audlem Wildlife & Ecology Group (AWEG) held a dinner last night at the Lord Combermere and thanked guest of honour Greville Watts for all his hard work setting up the group in 2010 and leading it until he and Bidi moved from Audlem to Wem in Shropshire late last year.

The next meeting of the group will be on Tuesday 28th January at 7.15pm in the Lord Combermere. Guest speaker is Chris Lewis who will be describing the wildlife seen on a trip to the Falkland Islands.

The group will also be planning a series of trips this year as well as reporting any interesting wildlife seen in recent weeks, including the Eagle Owl, much discussed on AudlemOnline, where there have been two reported sightings in the area.
