Ladies from Audlem W.I. enjoyed a very entertaining evening at Acton Parish Hall where Richard Westcote, a Pantomime Dame, demonstrated his skills.
Using make up and flamboyant costumes Richard transformed into a bright yellow and red dame with blonde wig and amazing earrings and treated us all to a fun evening. We all joined in the fun shouting "It's behind you" and had a singing competition in true pantomime tradition.
The several costume changes into more elaborate dresses, shoes and wigs ended in an amazing purple sequinned creation topped with a bright pink feather boa.
After tea and a wonderful array of cakes provided by ladies from the various W.I. groups, the evening continued with a competition to find the best pantomime character. Audlem's W.I. president, Irene Cunliffe, won 3rd prize as Little Red Riding Hood.
After the business meeting part of the evening we all left for home with smiles on our faces remembering all of Richard's informative and entertaining stories.
