Weaver Bridge Closed until May 3rd

Weaver Bridge Repairs

Councillor Lynette Hopkins has spoken to a representative at Cheshire East this morning (Tuesday) regarding the closure of the Weaver Bridge into Audlem. She has been advised that due to Health & Safety reasons the bridge will now not be opening at weekends. However, Cllr Hopkins has been advised that the work is progressing well and it is hoped the bridge will be open completely by Friday May 3rd.

Councillor Hopkins has also flagged up concerns regarding the breakdown of a trench across Whitchurch Road when exiting left from Green Lane. Cheshire East Highways have advised they will investigate this afternoon to see if it is the responsibility of CE or Utilities to repair.
