Walk to Marina Cafe (and back!)

This editor's birthday treat was a delightful stroll out to the Marina.

Ah the joys of a late breakfast treat – coffee and an excellent bacon and (2!) eggs bap.

Delighted to mention the efforts of the wheely bus and wheely boat volunteers – bringing a minibus of persons with limited abilities for a ride out on the canal.

Coming back along the canal there were a number of boats selling a variety of goods – and a very odd appearance of a head peering out of a top hatch – not sure why!

Delighted to see a mother duck with her 13 brood – might have been fewer had it not been for a rescue intervention by Mr & Mrs Adrian Leighton who were working on their lockside allotment.

And finished with a visit to the Shroppie!

It's a great place to live!
