Valentines Ball in Public Hall on Saturday February 14th

The Public Hall is used by many organisations as a venue for fund-raising events. In the last few months the Audlem district branch of the NSPCC raised over £3,000 with a quiz and Audlem Rambling Society raised over £1,500 for the Air Ambulance by holding a ceilidh.

Clearly, local organisations benefit by taking advantage of the facilities of the Public Hall, not only in fund raising, but also by regularly using it as a venue for the Youth Club, Carers' meetings and for sports such as badminton, indoor bowls, table tennis and snooker. In addition, it is used by the 5As for holding their annual Pantomime.

The Public Hall depends on its own fund-raising events in order to supplement the income it receives from the users. One of the main events is the popular Valentine's Ball. This year it is, fittingly, being held on Saturday February 14th. The 10-piece Bill Basey band will be providing the music and, as always, there will be a three-course meal. In addition, drinks will be available from the newly-refurbished bar. For the fourth year running ticket prices have been held at £25.

Your support will be welcomed by the Public Hall Management Committee which, over the last few years, has transformed the Hall from what it used to be. All funds raised will be used to finance the day-to-day running of the Hall, the costs of which have increased significantly over the last twelve months.
