Buerton Parish Council is seeking to appoint a clerk.
This is due to the retirement of the current incumbent.

Qualifications and duties of the clerk are as follows:-

  • Computer literate ( computer provided)
  • Familiarity with office procedures
  • Ability to create and manage budgets.
  • Preparation of accounts for annual audit.
  • Preparation of agendas and minutes of meetings.

Attendance at bimonthly evening meetings plus any extraordinary meetings usually at Hankelow or Audlem.

  • Working hours normally 12 to 16 hours per month.
  • Hourly rate paid at NALC/SLCC rates dependent on experience and/or qualification.
  • Experience of local authority procedures an advantage.
  • Work from home.
