I phoned Stapeley Wildlife Unit this morning to get an update on the swan that was rescued by Audlem Lass and the RSPCA on Sunday morning.
It was taken to Stapeley, and apparently only had superficial injuries so the hook and line were removed from it's neck and beak.
It was given antibiotics and anti-inflammatories as a precaution and then moved from an indoor unit to one one of the pools at Stapeley.
The RSPCA expects it to be released back to the marina shortly.
Good news all round!!
