Unprecedented success for Audlem Bowling Club

League matches have now come to an end for this season at Audlem Bowling Club, but the green remains open for members throughout the winter for social bowling and practice.

Six out of thirteen league winners

Audlem has a total of thirteen teams playing in five Leagues in North Shropshire and South Cheshire and this year we have had no less than six of these teams winning their respective competitions.

Audlem A triumph

Pride of place must go to Audlem A – our first team. Their team of 10 players (plus reserves) were champions of Whitchurch League Division3, Market Drayton League Division 2 and the South Cheshire League. Furthermore, Captain Jim Stretch was top of the Divisional rankings for both the Whitchurch and Market Drayton Divisions, and Todd Ridge for the South Cheshire League.

As if this wasn't enough, Audlem A also won the prestigious President's Cup when they beat Hodnet in the final on Saturday 2ndt October at District Bowling Club, Whitchurch.

In the Seniors Leagues, Audlem A won Whitchurch (Barlows) Division 2, and Audlem B came top of Market Drayton Division 3.
