I would like to draw to your attention that to the fact that in my opinion the percentages used in the article (see here ) whilst technically correct have been cleverly grouped to downplay the fact that in both the open the meeting on the Feb 28th & the March online survey the use of field for a green carpark scored highest in terms of drawing the largest number of votes for a single item.
The detailed tables of votes can be seen below.
The results of the online vote (see here for the original article) even went on to say "With 17.5% of the total vote, it came as no surprise that the leading request, by a significant margin was for the green car park" yet the published article makes no mention of this!!.
Call me suspicious but I detect a spin trying to downplay the strong local feeling in support of this carpark. I hope I am wrong.
