David Brammeld Exhibition

This weekend, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November 2016, The Dorothy Clive Garden, will be hosting a special 'Treescapes Exhibition' with award-winning, local artist, David Brammeld RBA, RBSA, in collaboration with the Barewall Gallery of Burslem and in celebration of National Tree Week.

The exhibition will include a selection of David Brammeld's artwork from his 'treescapes' collection. His art tends to cover the urban landscape and diversely, treescapes in pastels, graphite, oil and acrylic and will take place in the garden tearoom.

A quote from David's website about his Treescapes:

"The character of trees in the English landscape holds a special fascination... more specifically it is trees in autumn or winter mode, when they are stripped of their leaves, exposing their dramatic, dynamic shapes. These images are captured during countryside and woodland walks and hopefully evoke the feeling of being out there walking and reflecting on the special beauty of our landscape. Dramatic shapes; textures and movement; twisted branches; the tangled undergrowth; the fallen leaves- are all explored using graphite, pastel or acrylic which is often worked and re-worked again and again to achieve the desired result.
