The Big Christmas Tree, which is the centre point of the Audlem Christmas Display, has been harvested and erected, and will be tready for the Big Switch On on the 24th..

The members of the ADAS committee have been very busy putting up about 50 small trees and attaching lights to each one at various locations around  the village – a hard finger numbing task, considerably helped by young Simeon of Cox Bank who must have walked many miles in helping with the small  trees

The big tree is being dressed with around 5000 lights by Mike Haines with Pete (Mumbles) Hollinshead driving the Cherry Picker which has been loaned to ADAS free by a very generous sponsor arranged by Aaron Tilley.

Phil Baker is the wizard electrician who will fire up the lights as we test ahead of the Big Switch On – 24th November.

ADAS are extremely thankful for all the help received – either financial or as labour – from many local people. Special mention should be made of Richard Furber for delivering the big tree to the square, and the work given freely by Audlem Property Services in travelling to collect the 50 small Xmas trees from the plantation in readiness for the work of dressing them in Ralph's barn at Buerton.
