Thanks from the NSPCC

Many thanks to all those who supported our "Afternoon Tea" last Wednesday.

We raised just over £800 for the NSPCC, an incredible amount!. We are most grateful to the ASET team for erecting the marquee in less than ideal weather, although we were blessed with a sunny afternoon for the event. Thanks also to all committee members who provided delicious food, and to our entertainers Jenny and Val for such a delightful musical interlude, and to those people who were unable to attend but gave such generous donations.

This money will help to ensure that our volunteers are able to continue answering calls to our "Childline" so that children in need continue to receive the support they need at critical times. It costs the NSPCC £4 to respond to each call and we receive a call every 25 seconds!

We are very grateful to all who supported this event.
