Suzanne and Carolynes Big Jogle Adventure
Suzanne and Carolyne's Big Jogle Adventure
{
}Leaving a morning AWEG planning meeting at the Shroppie Fly today I found these two ladies outside about to have a spot of lunch. I couldn't resist speaking to them after spotting the sign on one of their rucksacks and sure enough they are walking from John o' Groats to Lands End for charity.
I don't do Facebook but apparently you can follow their adventure on "Suzanne and Carolynes Big Jogle Adventure. They are undertaking the walk to raise funds for the following charities,
- Young Minds,
- Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and
- Papyrus (Prevention of Young Suicide).
Having completed several long-distance paths in the past I can only admire them, undertaking this trip, carrying heavy backpacks and walking against the prevailing winds.
Good luck Suzanne and Carolyne.
{Ed – for those of us who think of the stroll down to the Pub as a major expedition, Jogle is the acronym for the walk from John O'Groats to Land's End – about 600 miles in a straight line, but nearer 850 miles as a walking route.
