Success for the Bowling Club

Juniors v Seniors

Whitchurch & District Bowling League held a Juniors versus Seniors competition and Bar-b-que on Saturday evening (30th March) at Prees. Four of Audlem's juniors played- Amy Katterloher, Rhiannon Brookes, Jack Brookes and Will Brookes. (Juniors had 6 start in each game).

They all did amazingly well. Amy beat Kate Harding from Wem Albion 21-19 and then she beat Helen Winston from Chester Road 21-13. Rhiannon beat Sue Denic from Victoria 21-19. Will beat Charlie Law from Victoria 21-18. Marvellous when you think how experienced the opposition was.

Overall, the Juniors won by 73 chalks.

Bowling League

The Whitchurch & District Bowling League fixtures got underway this week for those clubs whose greens were deemed playable. Three teams saw evening action in bitterly cold winds and achieved very creditable results.

• The A team beat Con Club A 232 (8 games) to 179 (4).
• The B Team away at the notorious Hanmer Green narrowly lost 221 (7) to 194 (5)
• The C team at home won 223 (6) to 201 (6).
