Straying Sheep

I am glad that the tracing system works and the Welsh owner identified – see recent Lost Flock stories. But it beggars the question as to how well the tacked on sheep were supervised.

The last thing local sheep keepers need are sheep of unknown disease status wandering around the locality.

Hard experience has taught too many keepers that well intentioned people just popping sheep into the nearest field containing sheep can be the recipe for a horrendous disease outbreak such as sheep scab.
