The stage is being assembled and doubtless the bands are rehearsing for one of the area's great events – Audlem Proms on the Park on Saturday.

The Band of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and the Band of the Lancashire Artillery Volunteers will join forces for this fabulous musical extravaganza culminating in the tradional Proms numbers – Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No 1; Jerusalem; Henry Wood's Fantasia on British Sea songs and Rule Britannia with Britannia leading the singing.

It's one of the highlights of the Audlem calendar and attracts thousands of visitors from near and far and is always a hugely enjoyable evening. To see thousands of happy revelers enjoying their picnic, then singing the traditional Proms numbers, waving hundreds of flags and finally enjoying the fireworks display that brings the concert to its close is always a great sight and an emotional occasion.

Tickets are available at Audlem Post Office or call the Hotline on 01270 811211. Tickets are also available from Nantwich Tourist Information Office; Inglenook, Pillory Street, Nantwich; Hallmark, Pepper Street, Nantwich; Alexander Paper Supplies, Dagfields; Whitchurch TIC; Market Drayton TIC; Green End Pharmacy, Whitchurch; Computer Resources, Stafford Street, Market Drayton; Gift Box, Earle Street, Crewe; and Newcastle-under-Lyme TIC.

Tickets are £10 in advance or £15 on the gate. Children are £5 (£8 on the gate) and a family ticket (2 adults/2 children) is £25 or £30 on the gate. It's free for children under 5.
