Cheshire East Council is reviewing how it delivers social care services, and they want to work with the community to understand how they can support you more effectively.

They want to know about your experiences of Council social care services; if you get the advice you need, whether your views are listened to and whether you receive the help you need to be part of the community.

In order to listen to your views and experiences, they have arranged two workshops on the following dates,:

  • Crewe on 10th March (Monday), 10am -12noon, Crewe Library
  • Macclesfield on 11th March (Tuesday), 10am – 12 noon, Macclesfield Town Hall

These workshops are aimed at people who receive social care services in Cheshire East (whether from the Council or someone else) and their carers and family.

To register or to find out more, contact the Consultation and Participation Team, Cheshire
East Council at:
cpu@cheshireeast.gov.uk
or call 01270 371376.

When registering, the Council will want to capture the perspective that participants are
interested in, be it as an older person, an individual with physical disabilities, or as a carer etc.

These workshops will build on some of the information that Cheshire East Council have already gathered from customers, exploring this in more detail, and helping to deliver positive change for social care users
.
We want to encourage Healthwatch members, where appropriate, to participate in these
workshops to ensure the voice of the local community is taken into account.

Please also pass this invitation on to anyone else you feel may wish to be involved in this, to ensure consumers of these services are well represented.

Helen Davies, Healthwatch
Cheshire East
