The Shroppie Fly is set to reopen to the public at noon on 12th November followed by a grand reopening party on the evening of the 15th November including live music and festivities.

The reopening will take place after a major joint investment of £300,000 by Tim Joudrey of The Lifeboat Pub Co. and Punch Taverns, one of the UK's leading pub companies. The pub was closed for six weeks whilst a refurbishment was carried out.

Managing director of The Lifeboat Pub Co. Tim Joudrey, says that he is so excited at adding this beautiful canal side pub to the company's portfolio: "It will be run in a similar fashion to our sister pub, The Two Lifeboats in Sheringham, Norfolk.

"Our managers have been assistant managers there for nearly two years and the same high standards of service and quality will be provided. Tracy, Wayne and the team look forward to offering everyone a very warm welcome."

Punch Taverns' Partnership Development Manager, Keith Roberts, is also looking forward to the launch: "It's great that Punch can invest in our pubs and we essentially want to reposition the Shroppie Fly as one of the leading pubs to provide great drinks and destination dining for residents and boaters in Audlem and the surrounding areas."

"Everyone is really pleased with the transformation and I expect the launch night to be busy with local residents eager to see the pub's new look."
