Last Tuesday saw the return of the very eclectic Shroppie Fly Open Mic Night. Entry is free and the night is open to all: be you a performer or spectator.
An eye witness said: "There were enough sandwiches laid on to feed a fleet of narrow boaters". Another described the night as "a right royal knees up and musical wife swap.'"
With local favourites such as The Folkwits and Alisdair MacKenzie on his snake charming clarinet, the night is not to be missed.
With the pub quiz on at The Combermere the same night, it seems Audlem is becoming the place to be on a Tuesday night. What will be next? Tiddlywinks Tuesdays at the Bridge? Just an idea...
Anyway, if you're at a loss on Tuesday night, shake off your January blues and get on down to the Shroppie to play some (blues/ jazz/ folk/ rock/ punk)- delete as appropriate.
Tuesday night at 8.30pm. Free entry.
