Short-ARS on Saturday

In view of the fact that the ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) members' BBQ will take place on Saturday afternoon, it seems appropriate to make the Short-ARS walk in the morning both local and relatively easy.

So we will meet on the Car park on Saturday (August 30th) for a 10.00am start and the walk will be one of the short-ARS favourites – south along the canal to Hawksmoor Bridge, then turn to the left through the farm and past Highfields, ending up on the path through Kinsey Heath and over Holmes Bank down to the Old Grammar School.

The distance is about 4.5 miles, easy going with a couple of stiles. The path through the farm can be muddy, even at this time of year.

We should be back in the middle of the village before mid-day, with plenty of time to get ready for the BBQ.
