The children in Amethyst class have been welcoming their relatives into their Writing Conference sessions this week to share their imaginative ideas and creative writing ideas.

Feedback from these sessions has been very positive and we have a few more sessions for EYFS parents arranged for next week. I know the children have thoroughly enjoyed showing off their skills!

We welcomed EYFS parents and carers into school on Wednesday morning to see phonics in 'action' and to work with their children in their daily learning about phonics. Feedback from both the sessions and the information meeting which followed was very positive and we will be repeating this opportunity for Year 1 parents soon – please look out for fliers about this.

Amber class have been busy using our grounds in their outdoor learning work this week. They have been creating Easter Gardens and they have come up with some imaginative designs!

We welcomed Nursery Parents and Carers to school to join their children for lunch on Wednesday. It was wonderful to see the children showing their relatives their lunchtime routine and everyone tucking into their meals together!

Thanks as always to Mrs Hayward for providing a wonderful menu and to Mrs Shannon, our Nursery Mid Day Assistant, who did a wonderful job organising everyone and clearing everything up.

This week's Praise Book children are:
Mrs Hayward's Class – Max Winter, Kiera Marshall, Spencer Wright and Callum Lambie
Miss Danha's Class – Magnus Smallwood
Mrs Richardson's and Mr Morrey's Class – Harry George Mrs Stoker's Class – David Cottrell
Mr Perry's Class – Lola Waldron Draba
Mrs Bird's Class – Lacey Eldridge Congratulations to you all!

Last Monday's Active Audlem before school was an energetic and fun way to start our day together! It was great to see children, parents, grandparents and staff participating and making an active start to the day on such a bright Spring morning – thank you to everyone who joined us for this.

FASA News

FASA's recent Film Night in school raised a fantastic £205 for school funds – thank you to all of the volunteers who helped on the night and all of the families who supported this event.

FASA's Easter fundraising event will take place on Wednesday 23rd March after school from 3.15pm – 5.00pm. This will include an exciting Easter Egg Hunt with all children guaranteed a chocolate egg prize!

Don't forget! As part of this special event, FASA are also holding a special Easter Bonnet Parade competition – entries from all age groups welcome!

All children are invited to come to school in non-uniform on Thursday 17th March to donate chocolate or bottle prizes for the Tombola stall.

In addition, FASA would also welcome donations of any unwanted, new gifts, toys or toiletries for their Easter Fair. Please send all donations into school, thank you.

Thank you to all of the families who have donated to our Rag Bag Bin recently. Remember, any old clothes, shoes or covers that are donated are converted to money for school resources.

Easter Themed Lunch

Mrs Hayward, our school cook, will be treating us to another special themed lunch this Wednesday. The 'Easter Special' lunch is available for all children to order, even if they usually have a packed lunch from home.

Easter Service

A reminder that our Easter Service will be held in Church on Monday 21st March at 9.30am. If you are able to help to accompany the children walking to and from Church for the Service, please contact Mrs Howard or Mrs Taylor in the School Office.

Finally

Many thanks to those parents who attended our Parent Forum last Tuesday evening. We covered a range of areas and the discussions we had were very useful in identifying ways in which we can continue to work together to make our school even better. The minutes of the meeting will be sent out to all families soon – please look out for them.

I am always keen to hear feedback about your views on school's strengths and any areas your
feel we could improve further. Please contact me directly if you have any feedback on this.
Thank you.
