This week Mr Perry's newsletter includes an update on how the pandemic is affecting the school and the children, and it contains a lot of information which applies to the wider community as well as the school.
On a lighter note we have picked out the maths-related activities during the past week:-
Amethyst Class – we shared objects into two groups, then had a Teddy Bears' Picnic and shared the snacks equally between the teddies.
Sapphire Class – the children have been learning about arrays and making doubles.
Pearl Class – we have been learning about equal and unequal parts and we have introduced fractions including half
Amber Class – we have worked on using the distributive law in maths where the children have partitioned numbers to make them easier to divide.
Ruby Class – this week, Ruby Class have begun to work on how decimals and fractions are related.
Diamond Class – this week in Year 6, we have been learning remotely and we have been revising our maths
