Some of the more unusual activities from Mr Perry's newsletter this week

Emerald Class looked at Roman houses and had the chance to build their own Roman villa with underfloor heating! (Ed – jolly useful in the recent weather!)

This week in Maths, Ruby Class have been working on perimeter and area, even getting outside in the snow and frost to measure the perimeters of spaces and objects using both standard and non-standard units of measurement – whether this was with measuring tapes, metre sticks, umbrellas, cuddly snakes or stretched out cats...

Do you know what a kakpo is? Diamond Class do – they have been writing reports about the
endangered animal the kakapo, which is the largest parrot in the world, and they are busy planning our reports all about tigers. They have been doing some research using the San Diego Zoo website and have been amazed to see a platypus, polar bears, tigers, pandas and koala bears on the live webcams!
