Back last September you may recall how many people on Audlem Online were commenting on the impressive sight of the Vulcan over Audlem and Hankelow.

Now the 'Vulcan to the Sky' Trust are desperate to keep the superbly restored aircraft flying as they have been unable to raise commercial sponsorship from the business world due to the economic recession.

Many enthusiastic fans of this iconic all-British aircraft (including ourselves) have generously donated cash and even memorabillia items for auction to raise the money the Trust urgently need to keep this remarkable piece of aviation history flying for the enjoyment of all at airshows all over the UK.

The Trust who operate the plane have just 48 hours to raise the funds they need otherwise the staff who operate it will be laid off and the plane will be sold, probably to bidders in Russia or the USA (who have expressed an interest). Unless £75,000 can be raised by 31st October, this wonderful plane is doomed!

Please give generously or, like Concorde, we will never enjoy the sight of this amazing machine in the skies again! Click on the link beneath the photo for the Trust's website and how to donate. They have over 80% of the needed funds but more is desperately needed.
