Road Closure Update:- Audlem Road, Coole Lane, Whitchurch Road

Audlem Road

I only received formal notification of 'the active closure of Audlem Road' yesterday afternoon at 1610 hrs, and in view of the warning signs was also surprised to be able to drive to First Dig Lane without issue!

Cheshire East Highways apologised for the late notification, due to an error, stating, 'WPI Group require the road closure between 19th-23rd February to ensure resurfacing works are completed safely. Our inspector confirmed the advance warning signs were on site prior to the road closure taking place, to inform road users of the upcoming works'.

Whenever Audlem Road is closed, we are subjected to signage which virtually blocks off Cheshire Street and I fear my efforts for it to be less intrusive have failed.

Coole Lane

Works to the Canal Bridge on Coole lane have been re-planned to take place between 26th February -- 5th April.

Whitchurch Road

The works on Whitchurch Road will commence following the completion of this work from 8th April -- 3rd May.

Should the works on Coole Lane overrun, we will request that the works on Whitchurch Road are delayed further to avoid the clash of works.
