I forward notice of a road closure at Baddington Bridge scheduled for next Tuesday and Wednesday, particularly in view of this route, in my opinion, incorrectly assuming that HGV’s are adhering to the Whitchurch & Ridley diversion as implemented on 29/9.
I am in the process of asking CEC to remind of the HGV diversionary route and seeking Police assistance in potential enforcement and management of additional traffic around our rural villages and lanes.
I am aware of the voluntary work in your areas in terms of speed watch and would welcome your consideration of an additional road presence during this time.
Both myself and my neighbour councillor, James Pearson, continue to lobby for early resolution of this issue, we are acutely conscious of the impact on communities and businesses in the surrounding area.
Kind regards
Cllr Rachel Bailey
