Rev'd Helen Chantry to leave Audlem

We at AudlemOnline are sad to learn that Rev'd Helen Chantry is to leave Audlem for "pastures new" in a few weeks time.

This is Rev'd Helen's statement

Today at our morning streaming service I announced that I have been appointed as Vicar of Hucknall (just north of Nottingham) so will be leaving the parish at the end of June. Now is not a great time to leave – but it's never a good time to leave somewhere that you've loved living!

I can't imagine anywhere I'd rather live, but for me where I live and where I work are intrinsically linked and I feel the time has come for me to leave St James before I pass my "best before date"! After fifteen and a half years of the same Vicar – it's time for someone to take over the helm with different skills and gifts to be part of this wonderful community.
