Record Month again

July was another record month for visitors to Audlem Online.

42,508 people clicked on during the month, up from the previous best in June of 39,855.

The figure was 68% higher than July 2011.

For the first time ever, over 100,000 pages were opened in a month, indeed the figure was 106,131.

This degree of interest was undoubtedly helped by the Party on the Park and the Transport Festival and Gathering of Historic Narrow Boats. On a number of days after these events, the daily readership was well over 1,800.

Flushed with this success, Audlem Online headed off to the Olympics Cycling Time Trials yesterday at Hampton Court.

It proved a fantastic day with Gold and Bronze for Great Britain in the men's event. In the Ladies, an Audlem Online reporter managed an exclusive interview with the Gold medal winner, albeit a short time before the race started.

It was a brief few words but exclusive:

"Best of luck, Kristin" were the exact words at her hotel early in the morning. To which, graciously, the American rider said: "Thank you so much" before Kristin Armstrong defended her Olympic time trial crown with a storming ride.

Sadly, we failed completely in trying to have words with Bradley Wiggins. Next time, perhaps!
