Audlem Firefighters have been presented with a certificate in recognition of their week's attendance and difficult work at the tragic fire at Bosley between Macclesfield and Congleton which resulted in four deaths just over a year ago.

Firefighters from all over Cheshire were called to the scene and were fighting the fire that broke out after an explosion for many days.

The blast at Wood Treatment Ltd reduced the Bosley mill to rubble and was described as the worst incident of its kind in a decade.

The presentation by Cheshire's chief fire officer Paul Hancock was warmly appreciated by the Audlem firefighting team.
