Raising the roof

On Monday 2nd April Rev Helen Chantry and Ned, the dog, wiill be walking the 26 miles from St James to Chester Cathedral along the canal.

This is a sponsored walk to help raise money for the roof repairs following the theft of the lead last year. The cost of the work is £25,000 – so this is one of many events which will be taking place over the next few months.

You can sponsor Helen (and Ned) on their epic walk – there are forms at most of the shops and pubs in the village.

We are not sure whether Ned quite realises what is in store for him, and at his age he may choose to opt out at the halfway point.
